Hay Rolls

It seems like most artists paint hay stacks (Monet, Van Gogh) or hay bales, so I've been looking for hay rolls (common in the midwest) in a field where I could stop and take a picture. I finally found a row of hay rolls glowing in the sun at the edge of a field.
Painted en plein air this morning.

Haunted Barn

I occasionally drove past this barn for many years, finally snapping a pic to paint someday. The blue and green colors were unusual for a barn in this area. A few years ago I noticed that what was left of the barn was scattered across the field. It's completely gone now, including the dead tree.

Yellow Brick Home

I saw this glowing yellow brick home while driving down the street. I just had to stop and snap a pic. It was a great subject for getting back to painting. I was so busy preparing for my exhibit I did not have time to paint!
Very successful exhibit. Sold 11 paintings, several giclees and prints, and received 2 commissions.
